I'm not computer dumb here and do realize virus can be attached to some media files but what's the issue and big screaming cry on clicking on a members YouTube video and then bashing them cause they uploaded it. If you don't want to click on it then dont. Instead of bashing them how about look it up on your own browser and then congratulate them or give them a thumbs up. Real simple. That's why I don't post YouTube videos is I don't want this kind of crap being said about me. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't on the vids.

Well seeing how he is a kid most young people these days are a little more tech savvy then some of us older folks. I know you meant no harm when stating what you did. He's new and I would like to congratulate him on starting a new found hobby as CRH or even metal detecting. I'd much rather see other kids have this as a hobby then take up drugs or steal from others. Kudos to you David.Jenson you have a long ways to go but you will get there. Maybe you can show some of your friends your new hobby and get them interested in it and start a new craze in your local area

My thoughts, also, PepperD. I even PMd him to ask a question about proofs. His response was...suscribe to my videos.LOL. I was a little disheartened by that answer as so many TNET members have graciously answered any questions I have had along the way without shoving self promotion down my throat. It was only after I responded to him and explained how I felt that he was wanting support for his vids but couldnt support his fellow members in return, that he responded and answered my question. I would never answer a PM with "subscribe to my videos" without at least answering the question then perhaps asking for support via subscribing. I just think it's in bad taste. However, he did answer my question finally and if he wants to pursue MD and CRH that's great. I wish him luck in his ventures but will not suscribe to any youtube videos. Not my thing. I'm just saying, common courtesy goes a long way.

But all younger hobbyist should be encouraged and not discouraged by their senior. Most younger kids use YouTube as a way to post their finds and it's cool to get subscriber and followers. Everyone of them is looking to be the next Aquachigger or NuggetNoggin. I give them a thumbs up for trying it and encourage them to tell their friends

Well, probably not in school on Sunday... Anyway, I merely explained my position because it was questioned. You don't have to like it or agree. And again, I wished him luck in his ventures and have been supportive to every person who has shown interest in metal detecting and CRH. I have never discouraged anyone. I simply said that it would be nice to have a post along WITH the video for those of us who dont watch them. I've said my peace and will no longer feel the need to keep defending my position. Not interested in a pissing match. Btw, I see other members of another site are giving him a hard time about the video postings, as well. Seems I'm not the only one to notice...I have no problem with his videos or his ambition. But if he's that tech savvy, how hard is it to post a picture and comment below the video? I believe in encouraging young people in treating others with respect. I sincerely hope he finds a bucket load of silver. He has my support, just not my subscription.

If the only thing he has to say is "HEY WATCHEZ MAH VIDZ EVUBODY!!!" without any other interaction with members, then he is not interested in being a part of this fine community, and is just using his posting privileges here to drive traffic to the youtube channel to earn revenue...and thus any of these posts are spam.
