How much deeper will the Fisher CZ 3D get with a 12in. coil vs the 8in. ?

Hi Everyone !

I just got a used Fisher CZ 3D with the standard 8in. coil and have already been able to get between 9 and 10 inches deep here in Ohio and pull out a few civil war bullets.

Would getting a 12in. coil get me a few more inches deep or is the soil here too harsh for that big of coil ? :icon_scratch: Let's say average trash conditions also.

Lets not start a war, I just want good honest answers from people who have used the 12in. coil.

Thanks so much !

I use the CZ-3D and love it, and have a 10" coil that gets me another 2" on top of the 8 to 9 I get with the 8" coil. I'm in Ohio also.

You can ask the guy who invented the CZ-3D platform at his board.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll have to talk to the :icon_king: big man himself then to find out more.

Happy hunting !
