My dad has a soverign GT and he is wondering what it's worth? He wants to get a mx sport. It's in perfect working condition with some light scratches under the box, and has a ID meter, also with some scratches on top. Has a new rechargeable battery pack and a spare that takes double A's. Tornado coil which not sure if that's original, and a soft minelab case. What's it worth?

I'll give you $50.00 for it! OOOPS! You're not a Charter Member!!!:skullflag:

??? It's not for sale... just want to know it's worth incase he does want to sell it. If it's only worth a few hundred, he will keep it

Without warranty about $500- $600 depending on condition and where it was used mostly. Salt air is not kind to Sovereigns.

That's what I was looking for. Had people pm me telling me about the same thing. It was used maybe 3 times at the beach , rest up here on land in PA. I'll let him know... thanks

I wouldn't sell it for less than $600-$650, it is a fantastic detector....

Yeah he is waiting untill I get my mx sport on Friday too see if he likes it better. If he does, I'll pay my $20 charter member fee and post it up for sale here.

Make sure to start a post here and give us your review of the MX Sport. I know I can't be the only one waiting to hear about it!

The Sov GT is one fantastic detector! Some say its the land version of the Excel but the Sov GT has more features. I believe you'd easily get +$800 for it from a serious hunter. I love mine.

I paid $750 for my last one brand new

800.00 I don't think so PAPA has one sitting at a lot lower then that he hasn't sold yet.
Heck I have a used CTX coming in I just bought for 960.00 shipped. There are a lot of good deals lately on Metal Detectors out there.

well I'll start high and go OBO. Yeah I'm suprised I have not seen any mx sport user videos yet other then whites videos. I'm sure a fee hundred people have there by now. Where are all the reviews?

You might have it for a while at that price.......Kellyco is the only ones repairing these, and their repair prices are fully valued. One day soon Minelab will pull the parts plug on these for good..............

Dave

I believe Minelab discontinued the Sov GT since they brought out the CTX for a lot more money.
Profit is everything.
