If you guys found it on a beach then it's not in that bad of shape. I think it could be from the 1930s- 40s?? Hopefully someone can give you a def answer!

Thanks for the info guys. If it came off someones underwear I guess it would have to be a few years old. Never seen underwear with metal buttons before.

Stamped buttons with holes (2-5) were made between 1800 and 1870 but were iron. Backmarks were also normal throughout the same period. Brass and Copper never seem to have a reference with holed buttons in 1800's. Rubber and Milk (plastic) then took over. So IMO 1900 to present.
