A friend gave me two ags of rocks,well stoes . one labeled rubies the other labeled emeralds. No res or green showing. How the heck do I get rid of the outer shell and down to the real thing? Tumbler ,hammer< ?? Thanks for any and all help. Lonesome bob

Right. I would like to peel the over matrix to see the stone beneath, dremel dont seem to touch it. tumbled with rocks for days no help, maybe the green wheel on a grinder. ?

Listen my good friend. Please do some online research google etc. I spent months learning about the rough to gem business.

Read read and read everything online. Then come back with some photos.
