Library's, newspapers, diaries, etc.
In other words more good treasures have been found through research than any other way.
Of course treasures have been stumbled upon by blind luck but you can't count on that.

duk any good site where can I find information about history of Long Island and old maps ?and du need licens fo metal detector to hunt
