Finally my snow in NY melted. With deer season going on, my spots are limited..

First trip out I found my Lesche trowel I lost in the woods 8 months ago.. Yaahoo... Found a huge Bell too (half dollar for size )
Next 3 trips yield a 1936 Merc. dime, a 1957 Rosie dime and 2 clad Kennedy halves... 1989 and a 1776-1976 Half... and a bunch of locks hooked together..

Nice finds Basssmann. I like that Crotal Bell. Your Lesche shovel is looking a little more like a relic these days ! Looks like she put on a little rust.

I don’t know exactly how they sized bells, but I think that’s a number 2....I have one also and was inquiring about it awhile back. Awesome finds,it’s not often you find your own digger while metal detecting! That’s what’s called a win-win!:occasion14:

Tresurehunter, Yeah, mostly surface rust on the Lesche… some steel wool and put it back to work digging, within 2-3 hours, it looked as good as new. Yep, I looked for my Lesche 2 times before, couldn't find it... When I went there just detecting, I found it... lol Of course it wasn't where I though I lost it.. haha

Thats how it usually goes, when I'm looking for shed deer antlers. When I go specifically to look for them, I dont find that many. When I go out Detecting or just walking around, then, I find them all the time. Glad you stumbled across it.
