Huge bottle dump found. Got some keepers

I came across a huge bottle dump a few days ago when searching for some foundations

This dump is HUGE. Guessing 100 ft long and 20 feet high worth of glass


I finally got to do some searching with kiros32 today. And wasn't a bad haul for an hour worth of diggin. I could spend everyday for the next year at this spot and not pull all the keepers out. It's crazy that the ages are all mixed together. 1940s glass right next to 1880's glass. But 20 ft deep on the hillside

It's kinda hard to tell but in a few pics you can actually see plates and bottles in the air above your head in the overhangs

Here are some pics of the dump and the haul for today.

The last picture is some sort of brass/copper mantle clock. After it dried up a bit I can make it some lettering on the front. I can see the word "states"

Gonna hit it with electrolysis and hopefully clean it up enough to look decent

I am taking my 10yr old daughter to the dump on Sunday morning so I will have more pictures and hopefully more keepers to post then

Looks like you are gonna be a busy guy. I just dug a Califorina Fig like yours, looks like yours got a little close to the fire. Hey, be careful with your daughter there, lots of glass and broken bits to get hurt on.accidents do happen. Keep us posted.

Nice finds, and a nice looking place to dig. If you get lucky you might dig some old advertising signs.
