We have an old homestead from the late 1800's on our land where that was found. Just another piece of iron that I have no clue what it is. We pull all the old iron out and pile it up at the house. A lot of horse shoes , tack, chains etc, and junk I don't have a clue what it is.

Thanks Chizzy, I don't want to do much cleaning for fear of ruining such a old and fragile coin. Our soil is not kind to IHP's.
