Hi all!

Took a day-after Christmas road trip up north, to an old town near Boston, to hunt a couple of parks that I've hunted before with some decent results. I had an excellent day, finding an 18-S Merc, a 18x8 Shield Nickel, 1901 V-Nickel, 5 Indians, the best being an 1867, 22 wheats and this honker of a silver-dollar sized coin. I have to admit, I nearly had a coronary thinking I finally found my first silver dollar, but it was not to be!

I've looked all over the net and can find some writeups in Swedish (like this one: Konstindustriutställningen 1909 – Wikipedia
UrlAdvisorSuspiciousImage.png
,) but I can't translate it to English and I can't find anything else on Ebay or Google to tell me what I have and what it may be worth.

Are there any world commem specialists out there?? I've driven myself crazy for the past 2 1/2 hours- somebody please save my sanity!!

For the record, I will try to get the other coins cleaned up and posted tomorrow- I just spent too much time on this one.

Thanks for looking and any insight offered!

-- Jeff --

Art Industry Exhibition 1909 was an exhibition in the ream park at Biskopsudden on Djurgården in Stockholm organized by the Swedish Society and arranged with only Swedish participants. The exhibition lasted from 4 June to 30 September 1909, having been extended from 15 September.
History
Floorplan of the exhibition area.

The exhibition wanted to give a summary of the current Swedish handicrafts and industrial art and can be seen as anything less sequel of the Stockholm Exhibition in 1897. As in 1897 the exhibition was once again the main architect Ferdinand Boberg. He designed everything from the exhibition catalog to the pompous architecture with fountains, cascades, towers and arcades. Special conspicuous was the half-round restaurant "Bispen" overlooking bark Stockholm inlet. Everything was kept in a light, almost white color scheme and the buildings was also called the "White City". Gustaf V was the exhibition's patrons while the exhibition's working committee consisted of Prince Eugen (honorary president), Hovintendent Carl Bendix (the exhibition's commissioner) and Erik Gustaf Folcker (Deputy Commissioner).

The exhibiting companies showcased the best of their productions, usually of very high technical quality. Boberg takarrangemang with 100s bulbs in the large restaurant attracted attention. The electricity was new, clean energy. Large restaurant was furnished with a copy of Michael Thonet bentwood chair "Stuhl Nr. 14" from 1859. The exhibition also included a wide range of home furnishings and furniture, however, came the social program of short and only a few small houses with simple decor were displayed. Afterwards appeared the show in many respects as a pompous, unswedish display of the established Art Nouveau style [1].

Art industrial exhibition was also one of the first occasions in modern times when the square dancing organized in Sweden. This happened to a trio led by the so-called "boston king" Theodor Pinet, and meant his breakthrough to a wider audience. [2] The exhibition made arrangements also a lottery. The top prize was one of the architects Ivar Callmander designed fully furnished villa including the plot in Storängen. The villa attracted much attention and was called Lottery villa.

Next and last international exhibition Ferdinand Boberg would hold as the main architect became Baltic exhibition Malmo from 1914.
