About 45 minute hunt along Railroad Track Crossing in Humble, Texas today. Found a smashed penny, you can just barely see Monticello’s columns and roof.

The smashed penny was always a favorite for any kids living near the tracks. No telling how long ago that one was flattened. Cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.

And Welcome from Georgia.

Very cool finds, but I gotta point out that those are the columns in the Lincoln Memorial. Now a smashed Jefferson nickle would be another thing!

By the way, what are the 3 earthwormy looking things lined up at lower right?

My bad on Monticello, you are right. Tequila does that sometimes.

The earthworm looking things may be part of a brake assembly from an old car, I seem to remember something like this to hold brake pads on, not 100% sure. They were all in one area about a square yard. There was lots of surface large rock gravel. They are tapered on the ends and look as if the center is made to rest on a pivot. They are also tapered on each end. They are also ferrous.
