Got finished with a couple jobs at noon so I headed to a distant town for a few hours. Found a bunch of Wheats, then I got to the last house with a little yard. Got 5 Wheats, several copper Pennie’s, a 1924 Merc and some junk jewelry. I got a token or coin that I can’t make out at about 9” today. Looks old. I’ll try a few things and see if I can get anything legible out. Silver#7fty!!
Ok so I found 17 Wheats yesterday. Think that’s the most I’ve found in one hunt:)
1925,1952,1944,1954D,1944S,1947,1926,
1941D,1947D,1941D,1944,1952D,1949D,
1941D,1931D,1927,1954D.
Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!!!

I think everyone here wants to see a close up pic of the 1943D wheatie.
Fingers crossed for you! My guess is you have the date wrong, but I hope I'm wrong and you have a banner find PLUS!

Congrats on all the finds. Nice haul. Thats the way to put some extra time to good use.

Some squirrel is going to be pi**ed at you for taking all their acorns (in that first image.) :laughing7:

I may have got the date wrong. Currently out of state. I’ll double check as soon as I get back.

My apologies and I’ll definitely double check before I post. The Wheat I thought was a 1943D was actually a 1947D. It was crusted and I just glanced and went on. I actually didn’t even think about it being anything either.
