Man i am stumped on this one. I was hunting for silver today at a 1930s home, and dug 8 wheats, a gold filled ring, and a 1914 military medal. The wheats were '20, '25, '24, '38 and newer. The medal is what has me stumped. It is a 1914 military medal. I believe it is German. There is a naked fellow on the front, and a red cross with a "W", a crown, and a date, 1914. Help me identify it please!

The back of the medal depicts an Iron cross, but Iron crosses would be a stand alone medal not in the middle of a circle. I'm still trying to find info 296.JPG

Nice find! I knew someone in Gulf Shores, AL in the late 70's that actually had a Duke Kahanamoku surf board. It must have been 10 feet long! True meaning of "long board".
