I will be visiting Myrtle Beach the second week in June this year and would like some ideas on the best places to hunt, and what areas of the beach is the most successful, (i.e. pier area or perhaps the loose sand area vs hard packed sand). We will be staying in the area close to the Dixie Stampede end of the beach. Any help would be appreciated since I do not hunt the beaches too often. I will be using my Ace 250 and 1350. Would the smaller coil do better or the 6"x 9" etc.

Thanks

Your Ace 250 will work in the dry sand, but not in the wet or anywhere near the salt water. The 1350 can be used in the wet if it has a saltwater mode. I can't remember if it does or not.

As for where to detect, go where the people go or used to in years past.
