Went into the city today and went to an area of town where the world watched police cars and a CVS pharmacy burn last April. Had my best day in years. Searched about $300 in halves so if you look at the ratios I would call this a dream day. 12 90% and 73 40%. The silver certificate was an added bonus

I haven't ordered a box or did a road trip in over a year. I just got an itch to go. Wife wants to know if I'm going back tomorrow. It is nice to see yourself and other veterans hangin in there

Wow nice!!! I am amazed! Right place right time I guess. I am all over this part of town as are half a dozen hunters and normally you can't find two halves to rub together. I am a bit north of where you were and went to five banks today. I got... nothing. Not a single half dollar, silver dollar, old bill, neat coin, nothing. Usually I can at least find a clad coin or two. I am so frustrated I bought a Susan B just so I walked out with something in my pocket lol.

Keep your eyes open. They are out there. I've got close to $100 face by just ducking in here or there and at every grocery/bank I'm in. Tons of tellers know me by name, I've been doing this close to a decade.
