i can't stop metal detecting. i am 14. i have a 30 day 1700's and 1800's coin streak. almost like evrey day i go to the old field's and i make finds each day.
Howdy Amigo!
I can surely think of worse addicitons you could be jones-ing over!
Wish I'd discovered metal detecting when I was 14! I'd be pretty darn
well off by now!
An addiction to metal detecting is a good thing, and can not only prove
profitable, but also a positive hobby with benefits like exercise, fresh air,
meeting folks along the way, finding rare and precious items, and of
course, having fun in the bargain.
So, before you head out to a rehab center or anything, just enjoy your
good fortune of starting young, with many good years of detecting before
you, and enjoy the ride! I'll be looking forward to watching your success!
Metal detecting is a wonderful hobby to get into. At 14 all I wanted to do was be a professional skateboarder. Well that didn't happen, so I ended up being a firefighter who loves to metal detect.
It is a great hobby! You might be interested in going to the library and reading up on the history of your area, get some copies of old maps and you may discover old houses that lay in ruins. Be careful exploring those old places, they usually had wells. Pay attention in History class, I didn't and had to re learn it, LOL. Great finds follow history! HH, Mike
