I just picked this up at a good will a moment ago. Its silver from Peru. Plata doesn't mean plate. I better kept looking while things are hot. I'm on my way to the next thrift shop. They're open til 9 tonight.

Good score you got it for about 10% of melt....should be worth a bit of a premium selling it as is.
