Pretty torn up but looks like a tooth. Claw core more boney. Would have to say sloth tooth. Possibly giant armadillo.

It is beat up.. I thought I was seeing enamel but the wavy rings threw me off I guess.
I agree with you after comparing the shape to Sloth teeth and armadillo.

Thanks guys.
That makes me wonder about this vertebrae I found in the same area.
I had assumed it was whale but have not found many sea creature fossil there.. almost all land.
Could this be sloth?
Mabey missing external phalanges?
