It's the hundredth anniversary of the Oreo cookie.

Are you sure? Do you have proper documentation of this historically significant fact or did somebody at the grocery store tell you that when they gave you a free one? I wonder who invented them? Where were they invented? Were they originally eaten with tea? Whiskey? Sarsaparilla? I look forward to the rest of this incredibly important story.

Oreos used to be so much better. Nabisco took the lard out of the recipe and replaced it with vegetable shortening. Somehow they just don't taste as good.

I like the newer Oreo cookies (candy corn, triple decker, etc) better than than the original chocolate. But always with milk. YUMMO.
