"i fought a huge toad monster for a 140 year old silver [french]" True lol
Hi all, Today i went to a place known as The Napoleon Reef.Gold was found here in 1868 by french diggers and i assume thats how the quartz reef got its name.Lots of regrowth here and seems untouched since the rush days.I got a faint sound deep under a washed out bank and started to dig down.Lots of roots and was quite damp.At about 9 inches something moved. carefully dug the hole out and i found a big fat ground toad.I put him in a container until i dug the target i was trying to find. The coin found was a french silver from 1866. .The french built most of the bridges over the creek here after the gold rush and i will post some pics of them later on.Heres pics of my ugly fat find and silver coin and the hole and site. Never know what i will dig up next, may be even treasure.
