i found 21 wide am pennys

i went threw my change like i always do about once every three months and found them they range from 1998 1999 2000,,,does any one know how i can get them rated? i am new at this collecting coins but from what i found on the computer i could have a nice collection and they could be worth a few bucks,,,can someone help me please

I think you need to post photos of the coins closer up. From what I can tell though, they look like close am.
It would be very, very unlikely that you would find that many in your change.

I would have to agree with Fingergrime saying they look like close AM's. Wide AM's are very hard to find... trust me on this as I used to sort 1000's of pennies for errors, and only found 2. The most sought after is the 1999 with a book value of 275.00 in AU condition. The 1998 & 2000 versions book for 5.00 in AU condition.

Also I may add that if you are getting into error coins, you should purchase these 2 books if you do not have them.

Well.............. after reading this subject, I decided to look at the pennies I have been tossing in a can for years. I thought, surely I will have one. Nada, not one in several thousand pennies.

But I did find a 1947-D wheat cent,
a still mostly bright 1959-D LM cent,
and a 1990 or 99 penny with a very faint date, last # only partially there and even fainter, wide "A M", barely there "Liberty", missing "In God" & part of "Trust". Probably worth one inflated cent, but it is still bright.

After going through the lot, my conclusion is that our mints have been putting out poorer coinage since 1964 for all but pennies, and very poor quality pennies since the copper coated zinc business started. Maybe not so bad, considering the poor material they use these days. If the politicians stopped inflating our currency to hide their debt production, we could have better quality money that is actually worth something.
