maybe poreclin john, the age could be from 1880s to the 20s...thats when glass machine made marbles became cheaper...the large types of these marbles were used as check valves and could have other industrial uses...if its perfectly round that would be a good bet...the clay and bennington marbles of yore made for play were mostly hand made and out of roundness wasnt a big deal.....
