I had a "shell" of a day.. Silver, Wheats, V nickle, broach and more

Just got back from a long road trip....... 6500 miles worth. So you know what I had to do!! It was hot here in Ohio today. 86. 2 degree's shy of the record. I'll take it. And I did. I went back to the 1900's old farm land that I have did pretty good so far. I worked it hard with max sensitivity as the area is clean from modern trash. I like it that way. My first dig was a 1943 merc. It was near a plug I had dug before. My next dig was a V nickle. I love finding them when they are there. Kind of rusty looking but I'll take it. Found 4 old shot shell brass ends. , some kind of weird broach, a gas valve, a 1914 wheat and a cut up 1943. Found some kind of tag, and a piece of jewelery. Looks like gold but who knows???? This site has produced a bunch of old wheat's, 7 silver coins and some cool relics. I've about got it cleaned out. I need to find a new place. Thanks for looking at my humble finds :-[ Ron

Hey, nice finds Ron, I got 3 of those crazy metal things yesterday, not sure what they are yet.

Looks like a pretty neat farm. Been thinking about you and how your son is doing. He get a
place yet to live?

Well take care, I'm getting ready to head out to a old ghost town and hunt today.

Denny Morrison

P.S. Had a fantastic day yesterday, hopefully I'll get em posted tonight.

Thanks Denny. Yes he got moved out last month and settled in a new place. Thanks for your concern and what you did for them. We'll get together here when I get more time off.

Ron, Great job! Nice V nickel and Merc!! I hate to say this, (I love my Ace!!!) but at some point you may want to look at upgrading to a machine that gets a little better depth than the Ace. There have to be targets that you are not picking up, even with the larger coil.

Nevertheless, there is no arguing with results, and you have had some great ones from this site!!

I'm sure you are probably right. For the time being, I'll have to settle for what I have.

Nothing like metal detecting to get rid of that car lag! Pretty cool finds! Must be nice to not have to deal with all of the trash!

Me too. I have found a bunch but there are so many different types that were made. I thought about making a special case or something to display them
