I love finds like this, its shows how much pure craftsmanship has been lost, found it 6 in. deep about 40ft...from the Morris canal in NJ, must have been there 100 years yet it still works perfectly it amazes me... its says No.31 STANLEY made in USA 2 1/2 in. I believe its from the 1900-1915 era.

That's a great find!!! Won't be anything left for guys like us 100 yr from know. Stuff we make today will never last that long

Nice find! I love fining old tools, more times than not they still work!

The only bits and pieces of our lives that I'll be left for prosperity to find will be on computer chips.
