GIt's not a die clash. https://www.error-ref.com/progressive-indirect-design-transfer/ Also the L up against the rim is normal on cents of this era, especially on late die state coins.
Thank you for the info. That's very interesting. What would you say about this quarter

I apologize. I'll leave. Sorry for the inconvenienceI have a question. Why post a question without stating why you are asking? Was this intended to be a guessing game? I felt like I was in a bad game of 20 Questions.
No need to leave, it's just that you may see something that you feel is unusual, but someone else doesn't see it. It helps to know where and what to look at in order to help you out! I see a few things on the quarter you may be questioning, but I don't know which to address! Do you see doubling on some of the letters? Is some detail missing? Does it look off center? Hang around!I apologize. I'll leave. Sorry for the inconvenience
Hey .. no need to leave. I actually have been enjoying watching this thread develop and have learned something in the process.I apologize. I'll leave. Sorry for the inconvenience
Could be an error coin, but you should get it/them graded, to make them official…!
Thank you all for your info and encouraging words. I am new at this but I learn quickly. I am itching to show what I found today. The scrape on the obverse side and on the reverse the chunck missing out of "cent". This coin came out of the original bank roll and is brilliant uncirculated. Any thoughts about it? I plan on going to the coin show in October. I'm really enjoying this hobby. I'm also an avid arrowhead hunter. I love to medal detect but my son has " borrowed" my metal detector. I'm an empty nester now that my four kids have grown up and so I'm trying to keep my mind occupied. My grandfather always said " if youre not learning something every day, youre not living." Thanks again for the welcome.So..again, what are your thoughts about this coin?On the quarter, I see a doubled area on the rim, a possible die chip at the "IN" area, and lots of wear and impact damage. I also don't see any added value for those features.

The reverse on this '64 cent might have an error. Maybe an incomplete planchet, or strike-through that fell off. The obverse....I doubt it. It looks more like PMD. There again, it's not dramatic enough to get much of a premium, and if the obverse is indeed damage, it detracts from the eye appeal and likely hurts the value.Thank you all for your info and encouraging words.
