Wow nice lot of coins, see that is why I think my old 1800's school yard has been searched. I should be finding old coins by the handfull, like you. If my yard was not searched, I would be.

Hey Hardpan. Judging from your finds there has been more there than just the fair. Those cut nails could go back to the early to mid 1800's and that musket ball was probably not used at the fair. You also have a rivit for a harness there. You may wish to keep digging in that field and turn down your discrimination. You can never tell what nice old relics you might find. Your research on that field payed off big for ya. You made some excellent coin and relic finds.
