When I was in Iowa last week I stopped to check out this all timber built bridge. You don't see those around here, I don't think?, as most are built of concrete. I took the first picture from the top of the bridge and after I took it, I heard the cracking of branches in the woods to the left of the tracks. I though shucks!, I must have spooked a deer?. Looking again at the picture I first took I see I did get a shot of a deer. I just noticed it when reviewing some of the pictures I took last week... Do you see the deer??

Nice pics. Here on the east coast our rail lines aren't so straight and long. Some weeks ago there were a bunch of deer standing in my driveway when I got home from work. What perchance were they doing in the driveway? Why - trying to keep out of range of the mountain lion next to the woods line. I tore off across the lawn (in my fire engine red sedan) at the monster and chased it back into the woods. BTW there are no mountain lions in Maryland. Repeat three times and it will come true. There are no mountain lions in Maryland. Sarcasm 101. We have seen three. Could be the same one.

I know one thing about that little white tail. The ones in Iowa taste better then every other deer meat I've ever ate.
