I love 01/41 :) Minelab talk for Big Silver!

Hello all!!

I went to my new permission after work tonight, And man is that place a modern change Mess!!

But I had a couple scores, One was a 52 wheat, A vintage lure and then I got the sweet 01/41 on the ctx about 7 inches down. Started to dig my plug and of course there is a big ole root in the hole, Kept digging, working my way under the root and Pow!!!! there she was, 1940 S walking liberty half. And of course I kissed it with my digger :( I think every walker I have dug has met my digger??

Needless to say I am a happy camper. Going back tomorrow, Hoping for some older stuff too since the house was built in 1901..

Sweet Walker man! Those are such a beautiful coin, high on my "want to dig" list.

I don't think you scratched it too bad, still looks really nice. I guess next time you get a 01/41 you need to dig a two foot by two foot hole just to be sure!

My first Walker on the CTX was an 08/48.
If I get a 01/41,, I'm going to be hoping for a Silver Dollar.
Congrats on a beautiful coin.

My last walker before this one was bouncing between 12/48 and 01/41. This one just 01/41 I will take it either way!!

Congrats on digging that beauty :occasion14: I love digging screamers. Big old silvers keep the fire burning. Good luck today, hoping you pull more old silvers.

I'm with J.Cache. Next time you get a hit with the same numbers, I'd widen the hole a little bit. Great coin.

Thanks folks, something about my walkers and tree roots, they always seem to be buried directly under them. Not sure a bigger over all hole is going to help me dig it out from under, I guess I just need to slow down and be more careful with the roots. :D

Congratulations on the silver. I think we all do that. Get to concentrating on the root and not quite thinking about the target. Especially in high clad areas.
