I really was detecting...honest!

Didn't find one single piece of metal in two hours of swinging. I did stumble onto another native artifact area so I'll relegate this area for arrowhead hunting and leave the detector at home.

well that's not such a bad day at all!
one single piece of metal means no iron, too?
sometimes i start digging iron when there's nothing else, but it's rarely as exciting as arrowheads and such.
i have an older cousin who threatened to make an arrowhead detector years ago.
perhaps i should lean on him a little bit. i think he could do it...

That must be one quiet field! Tuesday IH and I are off to scout some new ground as well. The 2nd last hunt I was very lucky to get what I did, and Friday's hunt was pretty sad. We have a few good looking fields in mind and if I can find 2 or 3 more I figure something should work out.

Very cool. I used to hunt for Indian Artifacts as a boy. I lived near many burial mounds, the corn fields were shiny with flint.
