The silver solution seems to say yes. But the piece looks like silver plate to me. Scratch the actual piece and apply the acid directly to it. There is no risk in losing resale value on that particular item.

It's likely not stamped because it's the top of a covered dish. The missing bottom dish is where the marks would be found I believe.

Visually it looks plated but there are some Indian silver serving dishes that could be sterling
