A couple of months ago, I was invited to hunt some private land (with land-owner's permission) in central Missouri.
The areas that we hunted were a post Civil War homestead that was once occupied by a former slave family and the
surrounding fields, which served as encampments for northern troops during the war. Anyway, that's a brief history
in a nutshell of the area we hunted.

In addition to finding numerous dropped three-ringer lead, I also recovered this interesting marshal's badge
on the former slave's homestead site (and the Seated dime). To me, the badge which appears to be hand-crafted
from a thin piece of copper for a young child, was my most exciting find of my hunt.

Thanks for looking!

Very cool indeed, You got both pieces close to each other ?
A one-of-a-kind find is way better find than another seated coin, which is a decent find for sure.
