Something pretty cool just came along. I recently asked for permission to hunt a very old Octagonal Schoolhouse in Wrightstown PA. I got a reply stating that the proposal was to be discussed at their next town meeting. They also asked if I would be so kind to help out with their elementary schools 50th birthday party celebration. They some how have lost the exact location of the schools 50 year old time capsules, there are 2 of them. They don't have many leads on where they may be or how deep they were buried. Does any one know if there is a common depth or size for a time capsule?

Thanks,
Hoof

thats a tough one. some places put them in brick behind the name plates used to show the time the school was built. could be most any place. doubt they would bury them to deep and doubt to far out from the school most know in time addons will be set.

Around the flag pole would be a likely place. Look for old pictures of the school grounds. Location of things may have changed over the years.

Good luck,

Thanks for your help. I mentioned that to my contact about the media covering it. I also suggested she try to contact anyone that may have been there 50 years ago. A student or a teacher. Good thinking about the flag pole
