heres a kick in the nuts ,digging in the rain and i see this doubloom in the hole about 6 inches down, my buddy ran to me and when he saw it in the hole he was so amazed he droped to his knees in the mud and we both just stared at it for a couple mins, i picked it up and licked it, cleaned it up and when i flipped it over i saw this the dreaded copy 20150602_054745.jpg 20150602_055727.jpg ,atleast i know how i will feel if i ever find a real one ..lol enjoy

It's a good thing you know now. Might not survive what you licked off that piece. ;)

My sympathies.

I know well how those first 3 seconds feel, total shock! Followed by a free fall let down.
Sorry it was a copy but there's gold coins out there, ya just keep look'n...not licking, we want you around for the after party! A little bottle of water will work just as well.

Congrats! Still a nice find!

How did that one taste ?

Like chicken in dirt?

I about did a backflip at one find only to discover Sakagaweah smirking at me. I though it was my first large cent (it was brown).

Keep looking!
