ice storm in Illinois

This dangerous ice storm brought down a lot of branches and many power lines in several midwest states almost two years ago, but after the storm had moved on later the next day and the setting sun started to peek through the clouds, I ventured out with the dog and took some photos.

Nice shots. I recently drove through an area the day after a similar storm out my way. Looking down in the valleys with the sun shining was a breathtaking sight. I stopped to look out over the "crystal forest" but didn't have my camera with me.
