Wondering whether anyone can help ID this pair of items. A friend is having a tag sale for Alzheimer's research. She salvaged these from a local "refuse facility". I told her that IMHO they appear to be snowshoes. The sinew webbing seems to be authentic and quite old. The only other use, which seems very improbable, would be for drying pelts?

Any ideas of use, origin and possible value would be helpful.

They do appear to be a snow-shoe; though they could be for walking on other loose or powdery stuff.

Since it's a pair, I would also say snow shoes. I've never dried any kind of pelt on something looking like that.
