Between January 1884 and December 1909 a sequential numbering system was used to register designs.
No actual date of manufacture can be inferred from a RD.
.........however only "OLDER" bottles carry these.
These numbers are far more prevalent on crockery than bottles.

Almost look's like a RO but it's definetley an RD at a certain angle.....Thank's Gypsy....

When I first saw the bottom of the bottle I thought it looked like it had been hand inscribed....its not stamped....I am thinking yours is really old.....

Unfortunately it's only the bottom of the bottle,sitting on top of a freshly plowed field :'(
