I have found artifacts in two different states and I was looking for an Id from all of you more experienced folks out there. These were found in a creek in East Texas, I’m thinking Adena for the red point, it looks broken and like they tried to salvage it :dontknow

Can’t help with a I.d. I’m a long ways from Texas and Idaho.
Bottom left on Texas pic. Looks to be a scraper.
The Idaho pieces look to be natural stone, and not artifacts from what I’m seeing

I would almost wager money I could tell you exactly what creek those came out of in east tx. I'm guessing 10 miles east of crockett???

I would have lost money on that not being Houston co.
The red one is a Gary. The side notched is worn past I'd but was probably an Evans. The wide, broke base is a coryell.

It could have come from that area as it was most likely traded, we don’t have a whole lot of natural rock down in this area. Would it have been Caddo?

Thanks for all of the replies everyone.

Someone correct me if I'm in error but I believe those points are older than the Caddo culture.

https://www.projectilepoints.net/Po...aracteristics and, have had an incurvate blade.

From Google...

When did the Caddo Tribe start?

The Caddo originated in the lower Mississippi Valley and spread west along the river systems. Sometime between 700 and 800 they settled the area between the Arkansas River and the middle reaches of the Red, Sabine, Angelina, and Neches rivers and adopted agriculture.

On a side note, have y’all ever had any luck hunting for points in freshly logged off areas? I’m headed up to Rayburn today and noticed an area up there and was wondering if it would be worth getting permission on to look around.

No. Not caddo. The gary is 3 to 5 thousand years old. Evan's about the same. The coryell is 9 thousandish.

Points look nice, sorry no identification, the others are natural rocks with what looks like water erosion.
