I found this ring detecting in the backyard of an antebellum home, about 7 inches deep.
Wondering if anyone knows what the cross arrows mean. Thanks, Robert.

I typed in "crossed arrows markings on sterling silver ring" on Google and went to images, first on up is a dead ringer, ( no pun intended) , for sale on E-bay, a little digging and it is Navajo, a guy has one for sale in Crowley , Mass.

Very nice/interesting looking ring, very nice ID. I wonder how I lost it in Mississippi as I've never been there? 7" down, that puppy has some age to it and a story, I hope you keep looking and post your finds...............63bkpkr

I don't think it's old. Perhaps the 7" was a fluke (is clad or newer silver that deep in this lawn)? My first thought, upon looking at the pix, is that it looks like the type stuff you'd get from tourist road-side stands in the indian reservations area of the SW United States. And sure enough, rickn'1 seems to have cemented that.

Probably only the silver melt value.
