Identifying gold hallmark: PLAQUE G 18 K

Hi forum,
Trying to identify the hallmark of this watch I was given, appears to read "PLAQUE G 18 K". Attached an image of the hallmark hopefully someone here can help

Gold plated

plaque...it means plated in french I believe...18k gold plated would be my best guess..also by inlarging your photo I can see telltale signs of plating.
