Spanish treasure markers are very hard to understand...After 400 years of weathering some are hard to recognize. I looked at this one for 10 years before I went to the top of the mountain..It is man made..I dowsed the map and found a old mine...Art
There is something about the marker suggests possibly a mine.....especially pic #1, with the way it is oriented. But then, the lower end sure looks like it might, resemble a snake ready to strike if flipped.
I've seen photos of sites that had carved trees, rocks, with snakes as a treasure symbol. I think the mouth is supposed to point or mark the location. If wide open, some say 2 locations. Here if a snake, the mouth looks to have a couple round holes.
Just got an e-mail from Mexico...He says the snake means Danger..It may be a trap or the trail to the treasure is bad...I gave up years ago trying understand them...Art
I tried making a negative image of the snake. Interesting, take a look to see if those could be symbol markings. Also enlarged 3 parts of it, for a closer inspection.
first picture looks like the number 2 which could stand for the 2nd. corner of a triangle. if that be true then the head is probably looking toward corner # 2 or corner # 3. you can also post this on "treasure marks/signs''.
That’s the problem..Everyone has a different opinion of what the signs mean....Besides that I have found KGC treasure in Spanish mines and the signs have been altered or moved..I find these sites to be very interesting..I still would like to see more photo’s or a map of the area...Art
The area below the head, bottom of the bend and throat of snake......I just emailed this back to him, but forgot to mention the pasted part of snake carving, needed to be flipped horizontally, oriented correctly on the hole or cave photo. It looks like a cave entrance or deep hole/pocket mine, can't tell for sure from the pic.. It appears the snake rock, to be a trail marker. A freehand selection from the snake is pasted above on the hole photo (flipped horizontally).
