I hit the woods for two hours this afternoon not really expecting much
and my first target was a gold-plated crucifix. . . which I was very happy with.

Moving on to another location, I got a good nickel signal (CrackerJack maybe?)
which turned out to be an old horse shoe nail. I re-scanned the hole and got a
another faint signal which was part of a gold-plated cloisonné broach pin. Thinking
there might be additional jewelry close by, I dug another faint signal which turned
out to be an 1887 IH penny. . . totally unexpected, but I'll take it :icon_pirat:

Thanks for looking,

Those are some sweet digs!
Notions on the crucifix? IHS designation? Tomaso orthodoxy?
