The image below is a screen capture from White’s Spectra V3i video on YouTube. I don’t recall the narrator explaining a couple of things…..

What does the colored bar mean? (See arrow)

What does the plus/minus mean next to the program? (See arrow)

Thanks for your help...

Thank you for your suggestion Giant056.....I did download the manual but I’m having trouble displaying the PDF file due to computer issues. That said, I did find the info on the +/- next to the program but nothing about the Discrimination Bar.

I believe that is basically your discrimination. Red is rejected and green is accepted. Its just a real quick way of seeing what you have your discrimination set at.

The stock Coin and Jewelry program is set to accept -5 to +94.

Red are rejected area's and green are accepted area's. The + sign means changes have been made to the program but have not been saved yet. Go to Whites website. From there look at customer support and from there go to the forums. Under the V section you will see a sticky for the "advanced or expert user guide". Explains A WHOLE BUNCH!

The whites V3i is a hard to learn machine. You will have to read your manual or see the online videos more than once to remember just part of what it is capable of. And if you stop using it for a while than it is not easy to go back and start again.... I love mine but it's not a detector you can learn over a weekend.
