Oops!

Neighbors NEVER happy about stuff like that!

I had a client ask me to drop a tree before it fell on the neighbor.

I said, "No, Thanks." and agreed it would hit the neighbor's house.

Two week s later it got the neighbors car, AND house.

He called me to clean it up.

I got millions in liability insurance, but it's my obligation to protect that insurance company, too!

Tree was five ft diameter at the stump, and about 120ft tall!
At least he got a years firewood out of it..

Bob, I think you ARE responsible for your tree...

Unless there's some kind of local ordinance that says you may not cut them.
Then you and neighbor should have put in for a permit to cut it back, because of hazard.
Formally.
If turned down, it is fault, and liability of the municipality.
