Hello All,
First post on TreasureNet been watchin and enjoying your finds a long time. I mostly hunt creeks and rivers throughout central illinois. A few weeks ago went searchin gravel bars with a buddy and found a real sweet big blade the pics and insitu was taken with my cheap phone and dont do it justice. I've been searching for over 10 years made some nice finds but this is my best find so far. I am curious what type you all thought it was.I've been looking through my books I'm leaning towards a dovetail hip roof base variety its about 5 1/2 inches long thanks for any input you can give me.

It's definitely form the cluster of Points made during the Early Archaic time period. It kind of has a Graham Cave look to it.

Killer find and welcome to T-Net!!
