I'm Afraid My ATPro is Having a Love Affair with Sterling Silver...

Because...in the last three consecutive outings, my ATPro has found eight pieces of .925 Sterling Silver jewelry for me. I keep whispering to her that "gold is better," but alas, she prefers silver.

Today was no exception, I went back to the little neighborhood park that gave up the big Mexican sterling ring on Monday. This time I found a chunky (19.8 grams) Italian .925 chain bracelet in the lawn. Later, I went back to the soccer field (of dreams) and divined a pretty , marked .925 sterling band and a gold plated beauty also marked .925 with three beautiful light purple gemstones, (amethyst?) in the lawn. Also added $6.50 in clad and few other trinkets to the treasure box today.

Thanks for looking, I hope to see more of my fellow T-Netters treasures soon as the northeast thaws out. Happy Hunting to all. Sub 8-)

Let me ask you a question. What are you going to do with the scrap silver you find. ebay isn't working good to me. since weeks I try to sell a chain I found (for a realistic price) and I can't attract buyers. What are you doing?

I am hanging on to all of my precious metal finds at this time in case of a financial collapse. However, I would sell or trade scrap silver to a trusted pawn shop or jeweler if eBay is falling flat...Sub 8-)

Silver prices are bearish now, so people are selling faster than buying. There just is less of a demand for the stuff so the prices reflect that.
I personally very rarely sell my precious metal finds. I agree with Subterranean, you may want to consider holding onto it as an investment.
Once silver turns Bullish again, people will pay alot of money for anything containing silver.

Very nice silver finds! The AT pro loves silver, but Gold hides among the junk; dig the mid-tones and your next post may contain Gold!

MSBB, Oh it does cavort with zincolns, but I "take a knee" for them too, as I donate all my clad ($60.00 so far in March) to the Children's Miracle Network through our club, 417 Relic Hunters. I consider it a way to give back and thank the Lord for the goodies! AND, little sterling rings hide among the clad... Sub8-)

POE, I hear you, the only gold I have found recently ( small 10K band) was a strong 55 on the VDI, same as a pull tab or slaw, so, (sigh) I dig it all...HH, Sub 8-)

That's a problem I wish I had with my ATP, Sub. Don't find a lot of jewelry in the cornfields, lol. Most of the old farmers didn't pierce their ears.
