We have been out of town for two weeks but came home this morning. After lunch I went to one of my favorite tracts of land to see what the fields looked like. One of the best fields on this tract was planted in cucumbers this spring and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had harrowed it and it had had a little rain on it. I didn't look it too long but did find the first point and the broken point there. I went down the field road to see what the fields looked like around the cyprus pond. I found the second point in the field road.

Nice finds. The Newnan would have been large in 1st stage.

Ok now that is rare that the two points do look like similar material. Your cherts and flints are always so distinctive.
You did good with the two points and welcome back Americus!

Nice finds Americus! Really like the wide point. Wonder if it was a hafted scraper or knife or whatever - It's very awesome
