You and me both. Seems like all I ever dig are flat buttons and the occasional eagle button.

Glad you like it and are having success. On a related topic you should try War Between the States reenacting. If you get with a GOOD unit you will be amazed of how much can be learned and the satisfaction it conveys. We are in the middle of the 150th anniversary reenactments.....now is the time for you. Give it a try....you will be grateful that you did.

I got a good package deal but the list price on the CSA button was substantially more.

To be honest with you when I started metal detecting this April I never thought I would find any Civil War relics. Then I hit my 1st Homestead with eagle buttons and US box plates, & I've been hooked ever sense. When I was young I dug bottle dumps with my grandmother and loved it. I just wish she had enough money for a metal detector back then, or she was still here now..
