More information could help. Can you give a general area of where it was found, country, state, cave find, creek find, field find, etc.? It does look drilled.

It was given to me by a friend who's husband found it 15-20 years ago. He's deceased, and she can't remember where he found it. All we know is that he found it in Northern California, in, or near Humboldt County.
She also gave me a fossilized crab claw, from a beach in the same area.

I'd have to go with it being a bear canine.
I'm not sure how old it is, but we have many tribes in this area who may be responsible for drilling it to wear, or to use in regalia.
I will take a better look at the holes, and see if I can tell if they were drilled with a modern tool, or not.
