any tector i can get my hands on
flatware is stamped with symbols rather than just stating sterling. why ? candle stick holders, salt & pepper shakers and what else ?some say I S.........huh.......... and then I see some with several symbols ^ * +...........huh............what is a star symbol ?....................huh...........my brain is fried from these wack job psychitrists and their pills. I bet they don't take them their self...................huh............life is tough enough and then I have to figure this out............huh.................help is appreciated

They're called hallmarks. There are entire books on them, every reputable silversmith has their own, some stand for dates, etc. Look it up. It's for them to know, you to figure out.

Besides "Likes", and "Unlikes" the should be "Unsure", or "Undecided" ! Sorry about your meds and shrinks, but I don't think silversmiths will rearrange hundreds of years of tradition to make your head stop spinning. Ha.

...now about the pills... no thanx those things mess you up and they mask a problem never cure for what ails you.

The majority of doctors are pharmaceutical endorsed extensions of of commercials that give such warnings as :”may cause anal seepage”

i dont carry a camera with me. but one that i remember is the single star shape by rogers and hollands. oh yeah and the I S what might those mean ?

I don’t think Roger and Holland’s is a particularly old company. What you have could be silver or plated silver. Based on the age of the company I would guess plated.
