send it in to be certified.
ANACS does the best job with error coins.
They will be able to say one way or the other.

It only costs if it is a true error. other wose they send it back and say "Nope".

Agree with the previous analyses. The copperish tinge around the T in Cent points to post-Mint discolorization instead of insufficient plating. It wouldn't be there if the zinc core was fully exposed.

Just my two pennies...

I should have noted that the non-copper area is lower and it slopes up to the copper in the light colored transition area. The edge and front are all shiny copper. Not a stain - you can see and feel the difference.

Could be exposed zinc then. I'd have to look at it under a good loupe with my 10X magnifier.
